Wrangled over Weight of Calves.
John Bielenberg, a farmer, caused the arrest of G. A. Gottsch on Tuesday on a charge of assault and battery. Gottsch bought three calves from Bielenberg who weighed them on the city scales and then returned to Gottsch s shop to get the money. A jangle ensued over the weight and hard words passed. Bielenberg claimed Gottsch grabbed him and pushed him out of the shop. The case was tried before Justice Alline and Gottsch was fined one dollar and costs. P. Farrell, who appeared for him, gave notice of appeal. L. S. Struble appeared for the prosecution.
