Rites Friday for Mrs. Nellie Dailey, Eddyville Pioneer


Mrs. Nellie Dailey, 85, a pioneer resident of Eddyville, died at a Kearney hospital Tuesday evening following a short illness. She had made her home in Kearney for the past five years.

Born in Darke county, Ohio, she came to Eddyville in 1883 from Pennsylvania.

Funeral services will be held at the St. Patrick’s church in Eddyville Friday at 10 a. m., with the Rev. James Morning officiating. Burial will be in Eddyville Catholic cemetery.

Surviving are three sons, James, of Oconto, Joseph of Chicago, Ill., and John of Oklahoma City; a daughter, Mrs. Nellie Lowden, Lincoln; one brother, Tom Burns of Raymond KPS., and 14 grandchildren.
