REV. ZIM SIMS

The Rev. Zim Sims, 75, Buckhart, a Methodist minister died Friday afternoon at the Texas County Hospital at Houston. He had been hospitalized about 12 days.

The Rev. Mr. Sims had served as postor[sic] of several churches in Douglas County, and was still preaching in the area at the time of his last illness.

Survivors are his wife, Lucy, two daughters, Mrs. Iva Scherer, Drury, and Mrs. Oma Adams, Huntington Park, Calif.; a son, Bretney, Ava; three step-daughters, Mrs. Rosa Hiler, Willow Springs, Mrs. Flora Williams, Vanzant, and Mrs. Estella Maddox, Fulton; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and six step-grandchildren.

Clinkingbeard of Ava has charge of arrangements.
