GOOSE LAKE, Iowa — Alfred A. Bielenberg, 81, of Goose Lake died Friday at Jane Lamb Health Center, Clinton, after an extended illness.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Charlotte. Burial will be in Center Grove Cemetery, Elvira.

Visitation is 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Hanrahan-Blazek Funeral Home, DeWitt, and 9 a.m. to service time Monday at the church.

A memorial fund has been established.

He retired in 1972 from farming in Charlotte and Goose Lake.

Mr. Bielenberg married Adeline B. Claussen in 1933 in Goose Lake. She died in 1979.

He was a member of the church.

Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Carl (Kathleen) Lorenzen, Goose Lake, and Marilee Piercy, Naples, Fla.; a son, David, Charlotte; eight grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a sister, Emma Rickertsen, Clinton.
