Peter Jacobson

Peter B. Jacobson, 83, long-time resident of Coos Bay, died today, Aug. 1, in North Bend.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 4, in Christ Lutheran Church, 15th and Myrtle Sts., Coos Bay. The Rev. H. B. Schutte will officiate and burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

Born Oct. 9, 1882 in Horace, N. D., Mr. Jacobson came west to engage in mining in 1903 in Idaho. He attended Parkland College. In 1911 he married Inge Berg in Portland, and they ran a boarding house there in 1938. After her death he married Mary Young, also now deceased. Mr. Jacobson at one time owned Pacific Iron and Marine Works in Coos Bay and had worked for the Coos Bay Iron Works and Harbor Lumber Co. He also build and owned the fishing boat, C. P. Holland.

Survivors are his daughter, Mrs. Audrey Walstrom, North Bend; and stepchildren, Mrs. Willard Jones and Mrs. Bob McIvor, Coos Bay, and Bert Young, San Francisco; 13 grandchildren.
